LUNCH REVIEW
We came here during lunch on a weekday and was happy with our meals. It was my first time here. We took advantage of the $10 lunch menu which was a selection of fish and stew/soup. The side dishes were all good. Our table ordered like 3 sets of banchan and by the time we left, only one single dish of kimchi remained.
The fish (mackerel, croaker, and beltfish) was delicious. The mackerel was broiled, while the croaker and beltfish came slightly battered and fried. The stew/soup that came with the fish was good too.
Overall the service was pretty forgettable, the food good, and the price spot on. -

CENTREVILLE, VA 09/23/19 DINNER
-The mackerel fish entree was pre-cooked, tough as nails and super dry.
-The seafood pancake was super greasy and undercooked.
-The customer service was non-existent. The restaurant is definitely understaffed.
-We waited literally 10-15 minutes for our check, after we finished our dinner.
-Everyone has stomach issues the next morning/day.
I don't think we'll be able to go back here, after this experience. -

After hearing some good things about this place, it was time to give it a try for a birthday lunch. Danji is a nice change of pace away from the typical AYCE KBBQ places in the surrounding area.
I ordered the bulgogi, which was seemingly flavorless, but definitely had enough to share with someone else. The good thing about this was that it was definitely filling.
We ordered a kimchi pancake which was really, really good. The size was also great, which made it perfect for sharing with others. The flavor was really strong and left you wanting for more.
I got to try some of the spicy pork, and that, too, was very flavorful. The pork had just enough sauce to where it was spicy, but not so much sauce that it wasn't tolerable.
Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, especially with all the other Korean restaurants in the area. If I was to ever go back, I would definitely get the spicy pork and/or the kimchi pancake! -

This place is touting itself as the 2nd location of ToSokJib in Annandale famously and historically known for variety of jjigae like denjang and chungookjang. And sliced pork.
First of all, a korean restaurant operation serving that type of food is very difficult to duplicate in another location. That said, this place is nothing like TosokJib. Not bad but nothing that spectacular. -

Happy to reiterate and fix the poor reviews for this place. This place had a change of ownership and it's managed by the same people who have tosokjip in Annandale.
Food quality is delicious.
You can't go wrong with Bossam and Boodaejjigae!
